Sinigang na Baboy sa Calamansi
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 10 cups (2500ml) Water
- 1 cup (180g) Tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 kilo (500g) Pork, kasim
- 1 cup (170g) Gabi, big diced
- 3/4 cup (100g) Onion, quartered
- 3 pcs. (20g) Green chili, small
- 4 Tbsps. (60ml) Fish sauce
- 1 1/2 pack (15g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 1 cup (100g) Okra, sliced into 2
- 1 cup (150g) Labanos, sliced into 1/4 inch thick
- 1 1/4 cup (130g) Sitaw, sliced into 2-inch long strings
- 3 cups (100g) Kangkong, leaves and young stems
- 1/4 cup (62.5ml) Calamansi juice, freshly squeezed, seeds removed
Procedure
- BOIL. In a pot, pour water and add the tomatoes. Let it boil until tomatoes become soft. Crush the tomatoes and add the pork. Let it boil until tender. Add the gabi, onions, and green chili and let it continue to boil.
- SEASON. Add fish sauce and AJI-NO-MOTO®.
- BOIL. Add okra, labanos, sitaw and let it boil once. Add Kangkong and kalamansi. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- SERVE. Serve while hot and enjoy!
Cooking Tips
If your prefer a thicker sinigang soup, you may add more gabi and crush them. Its starch content will thicken the soup.
