AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Cooking oil
  • 2 Tbsps. (30g) Onion, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (400g) Pork, menudo cut
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Pork liver, menudo cut
  • 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Soy sauce
  • 1 cup (150g) Potato, wedge
  • 3/4 cup (100g) Carrot, wedge
  • 1 cup (250ml) Water
  • 1/2 pack (5.5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
  • 1 cup (200g) Tomato sauce
  • 1/8 cup (15g) Red bell pepper, strips
  • 1/8 cup (15g) Green bell pepper, strips
  • 1/8 tsp. (0.5g) Black pepper, ground

Procedure

  1. SAUTE. In a pan, heat oil. Saute onion and garlic until fragrant then sear pork and liver.
  2. BOIL. Add soy sauce, potatoes, carrots, and water. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat, cook for 10-15 minutes.
  3. SEASON. Sprinkle with AJI-NO-MOTO® and mix well.
  4. SIMMER. Add tomato sauce, red and green bell pepper, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. SERVE. Transfer into a serving plate or container. Serve and enjoy!

Cooking Tips

You may marinate liver in 1 tsp. of calamansi juice for at least 5 minutes to remove unpleasant odor & taste.
