Pinoy Paksiw na Bangus

AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo (500g) Bangus, fresh and boneless
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) White vinegar
  • 2 tsps. (6g) Ginger, grated
  • 2 tsps. (10ml) Patis
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5g) Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. (1.2g) Ground pepper
  • 1/4 pack (2.5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
  • 1 cup (100g) Ampalaya, sliced
  • 1 pc. (10g) Finger pepper, whole (optional)

Procedure

  1. BOIL. In a casserole, combine vinegar, ginger, patis, salt, pepper, and AJI-NO-MOTO®. Let it boil then add the fish. Cook for 5 minutes or until done.
  2. SIMMER. Add ampalaya and finger pepper (optional) then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. SERVE. Serve while hot.

Cooking Tips

Adding garlic, onion, and siling haba is another way of enjoying your healthy paksiw na isda.
