AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 1 kilo (1000g) Lean beef, sirloin, steak cut
- 1/8 cup (25g) Calamansi juice
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. (55g) Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsps. (20g) Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. (2g) Black pepper, ground
- 1/2 pack (5.5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 2 Tbsps. (30g) Cooking oil
- 1/3 cup (60g) White onion, sliced
- 1/3 cup (80g) Water
Procedure
- MARINATE. In a bowl, add beef, calamansi juice, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and AJI-NO-MOTO®. Massage marinade into the meat and marinate for at least an hour.
- SAUTE. Heat oil in a pan, saute onion until translucent. Set aside onions.
- SEAR. In the same pan, sear beef while reserving the marinade. Cook meat until both sides are browned.
- SIMMER. Add reserved marinade and water. Simmer for 40 minutes.
- SERVE. Transfer into serving plates. Serve and enjoy.
Cooking Tips
You can marinate beef in the mixture in a longer period of time to maximize penetration of flavor..
