Pesang Tilapia Recipe
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Cooking oil
- 1/4 cup (35g) Onion, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. (12g) Garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. (12g) Ginger, sliced
- 4 cups (1000ml) Water
- 1 cup (40g) Onion leeks, sliced 1-inch length
- 1/2 kilo (500g) Tilapia, sliced into serving sizes
- 2 Tbsp. (30ml) Fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp. (30ml) Fish sauce
- 1 pack (10g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 3 cups (150g) Cabbage, sliced
- 6 cups (310g) Pechay, leaves separated
Procedure
- SAUTÉ. In a pot, heat oil and sauté onion, garlic and ginger.
- BOIL. Add water and onion leeks. Let it boil until the fish is cooked.
- SEASON. Add fish sauce, peppercorn and AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning.
- BOIL. Add cabbage and pechay. Boil for at least 1 minute. Serve while hot.
Cooking Tips
You can add more ginger to the dish to eliminate the off fishy taste (malansa) of the fish.
