Orange Tofu

SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 packs (800g) Tofu, cubed
  • 2/3 cup (80g) Cornstarch
  • 1/4 tbsp. (5g) Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. (0.8g) Pepper
  • 2/3 cup (80g) Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. (20ml) Cooking Oil
  • 1 tbsp. (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (400ml) Orange Juice
  • 1 2/3 pack (50ml) Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce
  • 2 1/3 tbsp. (30g) Sugar
  • 3 tbsp. (30g) Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. (30ml) Water
  • 1/2 tbsp. (3g) Spring Onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. (3g) Sesame Seeds

Procedure

  1. COAT AND SEASON. Coat tofu cubes with cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  2. SAUCE. In a saucepan, heat cooking oil and sauté garlic. Add orange juice and Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce, then mix until well incorporated. Add a cornstarch and water mixture to thicken the sauce. Set aside.
  3. DEEP FRY. In a pan, heat oil and deep fry coated tofu cubes until crunchy.
  4. MIX. Mix cooked tofu onto the orange saucepan until incorporated.
  5. SERVE. Mix and serve. Add the cooked tofu to the orange sauce in the saucepan. Transfer onto a plates and garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions. Serve and Enjoy!

Cooking Tips

Rest the tofu after deep frying to keep it crunchy.
