Omurice
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
Rice Mixture:
- 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup (25g) White onion, minced
- 1/4 cup (25g) Garlic, minced
- 2 cups (320g) Rice, cooked
- 1/2 pack (5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 4 pcs. (240g) Egg, large, beaten
- 1/3 cup (35g) White onion, minced
- 1/4 tsp. (1.2g) Salt, iodized
- 1/4 tsp. (1.2g) Sugar, white
- 1/2 pack (5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. (30ml) Vegetable oil
Procedure
- SAUTÉ. To cook the rice mixture, heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion ang garlic until fragrant. Add rice and mix well.
- SEASON. Add AJI-NO-MOTO®. Mix until well-incorporated. Set aside.
- MIX. To prepare egg mixture, combine egg, onion, salt, sugar, and AJI-NO-MOTO® in a bowl. Mix well.
- FRY. In a separate pan, heat oil. Pour 1/2 of the egg mixture and make a thin egg sheet. Remove from the pan then do the same for the remaining half of the egg mixture.
- ASSEMBLE & SERVE. Place rice at the center of each egg sheet. Fold and wrap the filling. Serve and enjoy.
Cooking Tips
You can also use some homemade tomato sauce or pasta sauce to the rice mixture for a more complex flavor profile.
