Kadyos, Baboy, Langka (KBL)
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 6 cups (1500ml) Water
- 1/2 kg (500g) Pork, cubed
- 2 pcs. (30g) Lemongrass, stalk, pounded
- 1/4 cup (50g) Kadyos, dried
- 4 pcs. (80g) Sampalok, fruit, whole
- 3 cups (300g) Langka, unripe, peeled, chopped
- 3 cups (100g) Kamote, tops
- 2 pcs. (10g) Green chili, whole
- 8 tsps. (40ml) Fish sauce
- 1 pack (10g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 5 cups (800g) Rice, boiled
- 5 pcs. (250g) Banana (or any fruit)
Procedure
- BOIL. In a pot, put water, pork, lemongrass, kadyos, and sampalok. Let it boil for 25 minutes or until the pork and kadyos are cooked.
- MASH. Get the sampalok from the pot. Using a strainer, mash and strain the sampalok in the soup pot to release the extract.
- SIMMER. Add langka and simmer for 10 minutes or until the langka is soft then add kamote tops and green chili.
- SEASON. Add fish sauce and AJI-NO-MOTO®, mix well.
- SERVE. Transfer into a serving bowl then serve with rice and fruit. Enjoy!
Cooking Tips
For shorter cooking time, you may soak the kadyos in water for few hours before cooking.
