Jarred Tomato Sauce

AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

  • 10 cups (2000g) Tomatoes, trimmed, blanched, mashed
  • 1/2 cup (30g) White onions, minced
  • 2 1/3 tbsp. (20g) Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbsp. (10g) Salt
  • 2 1/3 tsp. (10g) White sugar
  • 2 packs (16g) AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix

Procedure

  1. BLANCH. In a pot, fill it up with 3/4 water and let it simmer. Put the tomatoes for around 30 seconds to 1 minute. Immediately place in icebath. Peel the tomatoes and roughly chop.
  2. SAUTE. In another pot, heat cooking oil then add white onions and saute until light brown. Then add garlic until browned. Add the chopped tomatoes onto the pot.
  3. SEASON. Season the tomato sauce with salt, sugar, and AJI-GINISA®.
  4. BLEND. Place tomato sauce into a blender or handmixer and blend until smooth.
  5. JAR. Transfer tomato sauce onto a mason jar then close the lid. In a pot fill it up with water then place tomato sauce onto the pot for 35-45 mins to seal.

Cooking Tips

Riped tomatoes are best for the tomato sauce when it has a bright red color.
