Honeygarlic Porkchop
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 5 pcs (1000g) Pork chops
- 1/2 tsp (2.5g) Salt, iodized
- 1 pack (11g) AJI-NO-MOTO ® Umami Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp (1g) Black pepper, ground
- 2 Tbsps. (30ml) Olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. (15g) Butter, unsalted
- 10 cloves (30g) Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (75g) Honey
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Water
- 2 tsp. (10g) Lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp (3g) Chili flakes
- 1 Tbsp. (5g) Spring onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup (200g) Potatoe, mashed
- 5 pcs. (6g) Baguio Beans, trimmed
Procedure
- SEASON. Season the chops with salt, AJI-NO-MOTO®, and pepper.
- SEAR. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat until hot. Sear porkchops until golden on each side. Then set aside.
- SAUTE. On the same pan, melt butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add the honey, water, vinegar, and chili flakes (optional). Increase heat to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly while stirring occasionally.
- BASTE. Add porkchops back to the pan and baste generously with the sauce. Baste for 1-2 minutes or until edges are slightly charred.
- SERVE. Transfer to a serving plate. Best served over mashed potatoes with vegetables. Top with more honey garlic sauce and garnish with spring onions.
Cooking Tips
Use medium-low heat not to burn the garlic when making the honeygarlic sauce.
