Crispy Tofu Bibimbap

Tasty Boy® Regular

Ingredients

  • 1 block (400g) Tofu, cubed
  • 3/4 pack (45g) Tasty Boy® Regular
  • 4 cups (1000ml) Cooking oil
  • 1 3/4 cup (400ml) Water
  • 1 2/3 cup (50g) Spinach, leaves
  • 1/2 cup (90g) Mung bean sprout, washed
  • 1/2 cup (70g) Carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup (125g) Shitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (45g) Leeks, chopped
  • 3 tbsp. (44g) Gochujang
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Japanese soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. (25ml) Sesame oil
  • 3 tsp. (10g) Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp. (42g) Honey
  • 1 1/4 tbsp. (20ml) Cooking oil
  • 1 pc. (50g) Egg
  • 2 1/2 cup (600g) Rice

Procedure

  1. COAT. Coat cubed tofu with Tasty Boy® Regular.
  2. FRY. Heat oil on a frying pan then fry tofu until crispy. Set aside.
  3. BLANCH. In a pot, simmer water and place spinach for 1 minute. Then place on ice bath. Set aside.
  4. SAUTE. On a different pan, saute mung bean sprout, carrots, shitake mushrooms, and leeks one by one then set aside.
  5. MIX. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds and honey. Set aside.
  6. FRY. In a pan, heat oil and fry egg until crust is crispy.
  7. ASSEMBLE. In a bowl, put rice then on top of the rice place every component per section. Top off with egg then drizzle gochujang sauce on top.
  8. SERVE. Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced seaweed then enjoy!
