Crispy Adobo Paella

Crispy Fry® Original

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs. (330g) Chicken, legs and thighs
  • 1/3 cup (100ml) Soy sauce
  • 3 1/2 Tbsps. (50g) Brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (90ml) Vinegar
  • 3 cloves (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. (5g) Peppercorn
  • 3 pcs. (0.3g) Bayleaves
  • 1 pack (30g) Crispy Fry® Original
  • 4 cups (850ml) Cooking oil
  • 3 cloves (15g) Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pc. (35g) Onion, minced
  • 2 cups (330g) Rice, (Japanese or Paella)
  • 2 1/2 cups (600ml) Water

Procedure

  1. MARINATE. In a bowl, add chicken, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, peppercorn, and bayleaves. Marinate for atleast 30 minutes.
  2. COAT. After marinating, coat the chicken with Crispy Fry® Original.
  3. DEEP-FRY. Heat oil in a deep pan. Deep-fry chicken until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. SAUTE. In a paellera, heat oil and saute garlic and onions until fragrant. Add rice and saute for 1 minute.
  5. SIMMER. Add excess marinade to the pan and add water. Simmer until rice is cooked. (Add water if needed)
  6. SERVE. Add the chicken onto the pan and enjoy!

Cooking Tips

Mix rice midway through cooking to ensure evenly cooking.
