Creamy Spinach Soup
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 1 tbsp. (10ml) Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp. (20g) Butter
- 2/3 cup (100g) Onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp. (20g) Garlic, minced
- 1 1/4 cup (175g) Potato, small cubed
- 3 cups (700ml) Chicken Stock or Water
- 1 cup (250ml) Milk
- 1 cup (250ml) All-purpose cream
- 2 cups (60g) Spinach, chopped
- 1 tsp. (5g) Lemon
- 1/8 tsp. (0.8g) Nutmeg
- 1 pack (11g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. (1g) Pepper
- 3/4 tsp. (3g) Salt
Procedure
- SAUTÉ. Heat olive oil and butter in a saucepot. Sauté onions and garlic until they're soft and translucent. Then, add the potatoes.
- BOIL. Add the chicken stock or water to the saucepot and bring it to a boil. Once its boiling, stir in milk and cream.
- SEASON. Add spinach to the pot and season with lemon juice, nutmeg, AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning, and salt to taste.
- BLEND AND SERVE. Transfer the soup to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve in a bowl.
Cooking Tips
All-purpose cream can be substituted with milk of the same amount.
