Chicken Pastel
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 2 Tbsps. (30ml) Cooking oil
- 1 1/2 Tbsps. (22.5g) Butter, unsalted
- 1/2 cup (60g) Onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsps. (20g) Garlic, minced
- 1/2 kilo (500g) Chicken, adobo cut
- 1 pc. (45g) Chorizo de bilbao, sliced
- 4 pcs. (120g) Chicken hotdog, sliced
- 1/2 cup (60g) Mushroom, canned, halved
- 1/2 Tbsp. (5g) Cornstarch (dissolved in);
- 3/4 cup (187.5ml) Water
- 1 cup (250ml) All purpose cream
- 1/8 tsp (0.3g) Black pepper, ground
- 1 Tbsp. (15ml) Fish sauce
- 1/2 pack (5.5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 1/2 cup (80g) Potato, large diced
- 1/2 cup (80g) Carrot, large diced
- 1/8 cup (20g) Green peas, frozen
Procedure
- SAUTE. In a pan, heat oil and butter, then saute onion and garlic until fragrant. Add chicken and cook until lightly browned. Mix-in chorizo, chicken hotdog, and mushrooms, saute for few minutes.
- SIMMER & SEASON. Add water and cornstarch mixture, and cream then season with black pepper, fish sauce, and AJI-NO-MOTO®, mix well. Add potato, carrot, and green peas, cook until tender.
- SERVE. Transfer onto a serving bowl then serve.
Cooking Tips
To prevent the drying up of the chicken meat, cover the pan when boiling or simmering.
