Beef Picadillo
AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami SeasoningIngredients
- 2 Tbsps. (30g) Cooking oil
- 1/2 cup (75g) Onion, minced
- 2 Tbsps. (20g) Garlic, minced
- 1 cup (175g) Tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 kilo (500g) Ground beef
- 1/4 cup (60g) Tomato sauce
- 7 Tbsps. (105g) Soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. (1.25g) Black pepper, ground
- 1/2 pack (5.5g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
- 1 cup (150g) Potato, small diced
- 1 cup (150g) Carrot, small diced
- 1/4 cup (50g) Green peas
- 3 Tbsps. (30g) Raisin
- 1/2 tsp. (4g) Sugar, white
Procedure
- SAUTÉ. In a hot pan with oil, sauté onion, garlic, and tomatoes. Add ground beef and continue cooking on medium fire until fat starts to render. Add tomato sauce.
- SEASON. Add soy sauce, pepper, and AJI-NO-MOTO®.
- SIMMER. Add potato, carrots, green peas and raisins. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
- SERVE. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve while hot.
Cooking Tips
You can also use tomato paste instead of tomato sauce. However, whenever using tomato paste, always have it sautéed first to ensure that it won’t make the dish taste too sour.
