Banana Peel Burger
PORKSAVOR ® All-in-one Seasoning MixIngredients
- 6-8 pcs (235g) Banana peel, saba
- 2 cups (500ml) Water
- 2 Tbsps. (28ml) Vinegar, white
- 1 Liter (1000ml) Water
- 1 1/2 Tbsps. (30g) Red onions, minced
- 1 Tbsp. (15g) Garlic, minced
- 1 pc. (50g) Egg
- 1/2 cup (60g) All-purpose flour
- to taste (1g) Black pepper, ground
- 2 packs (16g) PORKSAVOR ® All-in-one Seasoning Mix
- 1 pc. (50g) Egg
- 2 cups (200g) Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup (250ml) Cooking oil
- 9 pcs (450g) Burger bun
- 3 Tbsps. (45g) Mayonnaise
- 5 leaves (25g) Lettuce
- 2 pcs. (100g) Tomato, sliced
Procedure
- SOAK. On a big bowl, add water and vinegar. Then soak banana peel to avoid oxidation. Soak for 15 minutes then clean with water.
- BOIL. In a medium pot, add water and banana peel to boil.
- MINCE. Once drained and cooled, finely mince banana peel.
- COMBINE. In a large bowl, mix together banana peel, red onions, garlic, egg, flour, pepper, and PORK SAVOR®. Mix then incorporate another egg.
- CHILL. Place the mixture in the chiller for at least 10 minutes.
- COAT. Grab 2 Tbsps. of mixture then coat with breadcrumbs.
- FRY. On a pan, heat cooking oil then fry banana peel burger.
- ASSEMBLE. Assemble the patty into a burger. Get a burger bun, place the patty, put mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato on top.
- SERVE. Serve and enjoy!
Cooking Tips
You may choose to use other types of banana such as lacatan but it could result to slight bitter taste.
