Almondigas Recipe
PORKSAVOR® All-In-One Seasoning MixIngredients
- 1 cup (140g) Pork, lean, ground
- 1 1/4 cup (100g) Carrot, grated
- 1/4 cup (35g) Onion, minced
- 1 Tbsp. (12g) Garlic, minced
- 1 pc. (50g) Egg, whole
- 2 pcs. (50g) Bread, plain, shredded
- 1/4 tsp. (1.3 g) Salt, iodized
- 1/8 tsp. (0.6g) Black pepper, ground
- 1 pack (8g) PORKSAVOR® All-In-One Seasoning Mix
- 5 tsps. (25ml) Cooking oil
- 2 Tbsps. (30mL) Cooking oil
- 1/4 cup (35g) Onion, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. (12g) Garlic, minced
- 4 cups (1 liter) Water
- 4 pcs. (600g) Patola, cut to 1/4 inch thick rings
- 1 pack (75g) Misua
- 1/8 tsp. (0.6g) Black pepper, ground
- 1 pack (8g) PORKSAVOR® All-In-One Seasoning Mix
- 5 cups (800g) Rice, cooked
Procedure
- MIX & SEASON. To prepare meatball, combine ground pork, carrots, onion, garlic, egg, bread, salt, pepper, and PORKSAVOR® All-in-One Seasoning Mix. Mix well.
- FORM & FRY. Take 1 Tbsp. of the meat mixture and form into a ball. In a pan, heat oil. Fry the meat balls until golden brown. Drain excess oil using a strainer or colander. Set aside.
- SAUTÉ & SIMMER. In a pot, heat oil. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add water and patola then bring to a boil until cooked.
- SEASON. Add ground black pepper and PORKSAVOR® All-In-One Seasoning Mix. Mix well.
- BOIL & SERVE. Add the misua and fried meat balls then boil for 1 minute. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice, optional to add a slice of melon. Serve & enjoy!
Cooking Tips
Flour is a good binder substitute for bread, if sliced bread or pan de sal is not available.
