Adobong Tokwa at Okra
SARSAYA® Oyster SauceIngredients
- 2 Tbsps. (30ml) Cooking oil
- 5 pcs. (250g) Tokwa (Hard Tofu)
- 1/2 cup (125ml) Soy sauce
- 1/2 cup (125ml) Vinegar, white
- 1 Tbsp. (12g) Garlic, minced
- 1 pc. (0.5g) Laurel leaf
- 2 tsps. (6g) Sugar, brown
- 1/2 tsp. (2g) AJI-SHIO® Pepper Seasoning Mix
- 1 pack (30g) SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce
- 3 cups (500g) Okra, whole
- 1 pack (30g) SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce
Procedure
- FRY. In a pan, heat oil and fry the tokwa blocks until golden brown. Set aside.
- MIX & BOIL. In a separate pan, mix soy sauce, vinegar, garlic laurel leaf, sugar, AJI-SHIO® Pepper Seasoning Mix & SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce. Boil until the sauce thickens. Add fried tokwa and let the sauce cover the tokwa. Set aside.
- STEAM. Pour water in the steamer's base and let it boil. Assemble the okra and steam for 5 minutes.
- ASSEMBLE. Serve adobo & okra together while hot.
Cooking Tips
Drain excess oil from fried tokwa by placing it on a strainer or plate with table napkin.
