Roasted chicken is commonly served in Pinoy homes during special occasions. It’s no longer a surprise to see a long line of customers waiting to be served in various chicken rotisserie establishments during holidays particularly Christmas season.
To take your roasted chicken to another level and make sure you have enough of the dish to go around, why not try to make this Stuffed Roasted Chicken .
This dish is inspired by the traditional roasted turkey that serves as a centerpiece during annual Thanksgiving Day in the United States. The roasted turkey is served with stuffing, while others prefer to serve the stuffing as a side dish. Stuffing can be made of cornbread, wild rice, or oysters. Other side dishes include mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce.
But instead of using turkey, our recipe only calls for a dressed chicken and none of the complicated and expensive stuffing. You just need common ingredients like malagkit rice, carrots, green peas, and longganisa . Can you imagine how combining these ingredients will tickle the taste buds of your family?
Cooking this recipe is likewise simple and easy-to-make. You just need to marinate the chicken in a mixture made more flavorful with AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix. The powdered seasoning in the marinade will easily dissolve and seep through the skin and meat of the chicken. AJI-GINISA® will also provide the ‘ gisa ‘ taste and aroma while roasting the chicken.
The mixture of cooked malagkit rice with longganisa , carrots, and green peas will be stuffed inside the chicken cavity before roasting. As the chicken roasts, the flavors are fused together making both the chicken and the stuffing richer and more flavorful.
After roasting, transfer the Stuffed Roasted Chicken to a serving platter for everybody to enjoy. You may also opt to pour the golden yellow stuffing around the whole chicken for better food presentation.
This easy-to-cook recipe from COOKMUNITY® is good for 10 servings and is enough to fill hungry tummies — perfect for your Christmas handaan !
