Celebrate Family through Shared Meals

Food plays an important role in strengthening relationships. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, shared meals bring people together. The month of May brings two important occasions —  Mother’s Day and International Day of Families. These occasions are the perfect time to create family bonding or get together over shared meals.

Linguine in Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Mothers know best and this Linguine in Creamy Mushroom Sauce recipe is what we know can satisfy your mom’s tummy especially when cooked with Aji-Ginisa® Flavor Seasoning Mix.

In a pan, heat oil and sauté bacon until browned. Next, add the minced garlic and onion to cook until fragrant. Add shiitake mushrooms and cook for 2 mins.

Second step is to add pasta water and bring to a boil. Once boiling add cream and simmer for a few minutes.

At this point, we can add the butter and mix well. Our secret to make it tasty? Season the sauce with Aji-Ginisa® Flavor Seasoning Mix.

We then add cooked pasta and toss with the sauce until pasta is fully coated. Transfer into a serving plate and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Serve it with a kiss to your dearest mom.

 

Chicken Pochero

Bring family closer together with our Chicken Pochero — a classic Filipino recipe that brings warmth and joy when shared with loved ones. Level up the dish’s umami taste using AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning!

In a pot, heat oil and sear chicken. Set the chicken aside. Sauté in onions, garlic, and tomatoes on the same pan until tomatoes are soft. Then stir in the tomato paste.

Put back chicken onto the pan then season with ground black pepper, fish sauce, white sugar and AJI-NO-MOTO® to make this dish umami-licious.

Add water to the pan and let it boil.  Drop the camote and simmer for 20 minutes or until cooked. We then add Baguio beans and chickpeas.  Cover and continue simmering for 2 minutes. Stir in pechay, cabbage and saging na saba.  Turn off flame and cover to steam the vegetables for a couple of minutes.

For the finale, transfer to a serving bowl and let it be the star of the dining table.
