One Pot Adobong Bangus

SARSAYA® Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Bangus, steak-cut
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 3 1/2 Tbsps. Vinegar
  • 3 pcs. Laurel leaves
  • 15 cloves Garlic, crushed and peeled
  • 1 tsp. Black peppercorn, whole
  • 2 packs Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Canola oil
  • 1 cup Rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups Water

Procedure

  1. MARINATE. In a bowl, add bangus, soy sauce, vinegar, laurel leaves, garlic, black peppercorn, and Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce. Marinate for atleast 30 minutes.
  2. SAUTE. Heat oil in a saucepan or saucepot. Saute marinated pork for 5 minutes. Then pour excess marinade. Set aside bangus.
  3. SIMMER. Add rice to the pot, and add water to boil then lower the heat to a simmer for 30 mins. Add back bangus on top of rice and steam for 15 more minutes.
  4. SERVE. Can be served in the pot, or transferred to a plate. Enjoy!

Cooking Tips

Add additional water if the rice is not fully cooked.
