Umami Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Ground Beef
  • pinch Salt, iodized
  • pinch Pepper, ground
  • 1/2 pack of 11 g AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 2 tsps. Canola oil
Umami Sauce
  • 1 cup Aji-Mayo® Professional-Style Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 clove Garlic, grated
  • 2 tsps. Chili paste
  • 2 tsps. Fish sauce
  • 2 Tbsps. Sugar, white
  • 1 1/2 Tbsps. Rice vinegar
  • 2 tsps. Mustard
  • 1/2 pack of 11 g AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
Caramelized onions
  • 1 cup White onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • pinch Salt, iodized
  • 2 pairs Burger buns
  • 5-6 leaves Lettuce, leaves
  • 4 Tbsps. Tomato, sliced into rings

Procedure

  1. SEASON. . Season ground beef with salt, pepper, AJI-NO-MOTO®, and garlic powder.
  2. SHAPE. . Shape ground beef into balls (adjust amount to desired thickness of patty).
  3. PAN-FRY. . Heat oil in a pan. Place ground beef ball onto the pan and flatten. Pan-fry burger for 5 minutes each side. Set aside.
  4. WHISK. . In a bowl, add Aji-Mayo®, butter, garlic, chili paste, fish sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, mustard, and AJI-NO-MOTO®. Set aside.
  5. CARAMELIZE. . In the same pan, add white onions, water, and salt. Cover and cook in low heat until caramelized.
  6. ASSEMBLE. . Add umami sauce to the bottom bun. Followed by lettuce, burger, caramelized onions, more umami sauce, tomatoes, and close the top bun.
  7. SERVE. . Transfer onto serving plate and enjoy!
