Tofu Steak
SARSAYA® Oyster SauceIngredients
- Tofu, sliced horizontally into 3, scored
- 1 1/2 cup (300g) Cooking oil
- 3 packs of (30g) 90.0 Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 cup (60g) Sugar
- 2 tsps. (10g) Mirin
- 1/2 Tbsp. (10g) Ginger, minced
- 3 Tbsps. (40ml) Water
- 1/2 Tbsp. (10g) Leeks, diagonally sliced
Procedure
- DEEP FRY. Heat oil in a pan. Fry tofu until it becomes brown and crispy. Set aside.
- SIMMER. In a pot, add Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce, sugar, mirin, ginger, and water. Simmer until sugar melts with the sauce.
- SERVE. Transfer tofu onto a serving plate. Glaze with sauce and garnish with leeks.
Cooking Tips
Make sure the tofu is dry before frying to minimize oil splatters.
