Tuna Nuggets
CRISPY FRY® Breading Mix OriginalIngredients
- 2 cans (368g) Canned Tuna
- 1/2 tsp (2g) Salt
- 1/2 tsp (2g) Black Pepper
- 1 tsp (5g) Sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) Green Chili, minced
- 1/8 cup (45g) Onion, minced
- 1 Tbsp (15g) Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (5g) Calamansi, juiced
- 2 Tbsps (30g) Bread Crumbs
- 2/3 cup (80g) Cheese, grated
- 2 pcs (100g) Egg, beaten
- 1 pack (62g) CRISPY FRY® Breading Mix Original
- 2 cups (500g) Oil
Procedure
- DRAIN. Drain the tuna thoroughly to remove any excess water.
- MIX. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, salt, pepper, sugar, minced green chili, onion, garlic, calamansi juice, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, and egg. Mix until well combined. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes
- FORM. Spoon a heaping tablespoon and form into desired shape. Coat each piece with CRISPY FRY® Breading Mix Original.
- FRY. Heat oil in a deep-frying pan over medium heat. Fry the nuggets until golden brown and crispy, turning them occasionally to cook evenly.
- SERVE . Serve warm with your dip of choice—mayonnaise, ketchup, or spicy aioli—and enjoy!
Cooking Tips
For a lighter alternative, you can air-fry the nuggets at 180°C (356°F) for 8-10 minutes or bake them at 200°C (392°F) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
