Banana Cake

AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 8 pcs. (900g) Banana, lacatan, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (115g) Butter, unsalted, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) Sugar (White)
  • 1 1/2 cup (180g) Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5g) Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. (2.5g) Salt
  • 5 eggs (250g) Eggs, beaten
  • 1 pack (11g) AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning
  • 2 tsp. (10ml) Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup (123g) Yogurt

Procedure

  1. PRE-HEAT. Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter two 8.5 x 4.5-inch loaf pans. (Butter generously to ensure no sticking.)
  2. WHISK. In a large bowl, whisk butter and sugar until light and fluffy. On a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. SEASON. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add the vanilla, yogurt and bananas. Then season mixture with AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning. Add the flour mixture into 2 separate batches.
  4. BAKE. Place mixture into loaf pans or any oven safe dish. Bake for an hour or when knife doesn't stick anymore.
  5. SERVE. Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Cooking Tips

If you’re out of yogurt, you can substitute sour cream or buttermilk, using the same amount as the yogurt.
